One of the primary functions that the MCCC performs is to facilitate joint purchasing for member communities. All purchasing is done via a competitive bid process. Contact us for more information on how that process works.

Bidding Thresholds Increase (Effective Jan. 1, 2024)

As of January 1, 2024, the bidding thresholds for municipalities are as follows (LINK):

  • Purchases and contracts below $12,600 require no formal bidding or written/telephonic quotations.
  • Purchases and contracts between $12,600 and $23,200 require three written/telephonic quotations.
  • Purchases and contracts over $23,200 require formal bidding.
